About Us
Laura Anhalt and Beverly Barry share a love and passion for traditional cuisines of all cultures. They are both avid travelers and gourmet food enthusiasts who together offer their students the ability to get into the kitchen and experience not only the preparation of food but the authentic tastes of regional cuisines.
Laura Anhalt is from Mexico City. Her passion for exquisite food started at a very early age as she spent many hours of her day in the kitchen of her home immersed in the smells and flavors of Mexican and International cuisines.
Her greatest inspiration came from the cooks who worked at her home. Each and every one of them shared countless recipes and secrets that she will forever treasure and is always eager to transfer that knowledge on to her students.
She studied 5 years of international cuisines focusing her attention in gourmet and traditional Mexican food and she now teaches and replicates traditional dishes from around the world as well as dishes from her own creation or that hold a family tradition behind them.
Laura is also a freelance food & travel writer/columnist and contributor of Buffalo Rising, she has been featured in the Buffalo News and has appeared on television programs in Buffalo and Syracuse.
Beverly Barry was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She acquired a love for baking and cooking in her early childhood and has fond memories of assisting her mother with the baking of cookies and fruitcakes for the holidays.
12 years ago, when her mother handed over the reigns of holiday meal preparation her love for entertaining was born. In her daily life she has always searched and discovered new gourmet recipes which further developed her love of cooking.
Throughout her lifetime, Beverly has traveled extensively within the United States, Europe, Central and South America, which made her develop an interest in foreign cuisines.
Beverly has a strong background in account management, relationship building, new business development and strategic planning.
Together, they look forward to sharing their passion and vast knowledge of cooking and baking as well as selling their specialty and gourmet food products to the public.
